Our Values & Interests
We value our friends and family, education, health and wellness, fulfilling work, and the environment. We are kind and caring people who embrace compassion. We believe in faith, honesty and integrity and in giving back to the community. We see life as a journey in which we are all connected and are here to help one another.
After the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks, Susan created a yoga program that offered free classes throughout New York City for people traumatized by the events. Following Hurricane Katrina, we went to New Orleans to help rebuild schools so local children could return to their classrooms.
We care about making this world a better place and want our children and all children to have a safe, healthy world in which to live. As parents, we will encourage our child to explore and be courageous, while caring and respecting people, animals and nature.
As for our interests, there are many! Our favorite things include: Hiking Mount Tamalpais or the open space preserves in Northern California with our puppy Barney; hosting a brunch or barbecue for our family and friends; making healthy, organic and delicious meals; cuddling up on the couch with popcorn and watching a great romantic comedy; listening to all different kinds of music from James Taylor and Lenny Kravitz to Baby Face and Miles Davis; Joel playing his 12-string guitar and Susan going to a dance class on a Sunday morning; kayaking down Corte Madera creek; and reading books from The Kite Runner and Eat, Pray, Love to Bob Dylan Chronicles and An Inconvenient Truth.
While we love to laugh and have fun, we also are serious about our careers and responsibilities. We are always seeking career advancements and educational resources and trainings to support our professional paths.
