Family & Friends

Our family and friends are the backbone of our lives and give us love, strength and joy.  We are close with our family and enjoy spending holidays, special occasions and as much time with them as possible. We are blessed to have many special friends as well, and feel it is important to celebrate the good times as well as support loved ones through the harder times.   

Our parents were good role models; they supported our interests, provided us with stimulating experiences, and encouraged our passions.  Books and education were a top priority, as both of Joel’s parents and Susan’s mother were college professors. Susan’s father, a retired attorney, encouraged her to pursue the business world.

Our family and friends are all excited about our plans to adopt, and can’t wait to welcome the new member of our family. Several of our friends are adopted, and we are blessed to have so much support, enthusiasm, and encouragement from people who love us and will love our child.
